Takmak fort trek is a perfect getaway from the hustle bustle of city and to unwind for a day, embraced by splendid lush green views of the Sahyadris.

The trek is a haven for bird watchers, and is not privy to huge crowds (which is a pleasant change!)

The trail takes you through paddy fields, crossing small streams and then through dense forest with sounds of birds chirping all along the way!
The enchanting forest trail is followed by a ridge walk which gives you the first view of the Takmak Fort!
The final part of the trail to the top is a bit tricky and exposed with boulders and some loose rock, manageable by first timers as well (with proper trekking shoes)!
On the top you are greeted with captivating panoramic views of surrounding green valleys!
