This holiday season trek in the snow, learn to Ski and more importantly let a lovely Kulvi(family from Manali)welcome you into their lovely village house house and also their lives!

Winter is the time when the magic unfolds both inside and outside in the hills. When the slopes outside are graced by snowfall the mountain folk (locals) sit around a bhukkhari and just chill. Often on these lazy,cozy evening, one finds themselves sipping hot chai and listening to some of the most amazing stories.

The Area

This trek lies in the Kullu valley of Himachal. The Kullu valley is a prime tourist and adventure destination. It’s unparalleled beauty along with easy accessibility has attracted many adventurists. No wonder some call it the Chamonix of India. The language the people speak here is called Kulvi. Apple is the major cash crop and the whole valley turns red in August!

Day 1 - Arrive in Manali, Short hike (3 kms) to Bhanara where you meet the lovely family that hosts you! Overnight stay in cosy homestay.

Day 2 - Today we teach you the basics of Skiing

After breakfast we take a short hike to reach our skiing slope. Here under the supervision of a trained instructor and support staff we teach you the basics of Skiing all through the day.

Return to the homestay in the evening. Overnight stay in the homestay.

Day 3 - Advanced Skiing - (Turns and runs)

Today we learn a few advanced techniques like turning.

Day 4 - Hiking

After 2 days of skiing lets now get your hiking boots on! Today we go as high as 11500 ft to get magnificent views of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges. Peaks like Hanuman tibba and Deo tibba stand tall in the picturesque setting!

Day 5 - Return back to Manali. Drive to Delhi/Chandigarh

Today is the last day of our trip.After breakfast we hike back from the village to Manali. You are expected to reach Manali by 4 pm. You can book an evening bus to Delhi/Chandigarh today.

Manali is well connected from Delhi/ Chandigarh. You have regular bus service from both Delhi and Chandigarh. The nearest airport is Kullu. One can take a cab from Kullu to Manali which costs approximately 2000INR.You also get regular bus service from Kullu to Manali.
Note, it is advisable to book a cab to avoid inconvenience.

Yes, all major mobile network is available on the trek on some parts of the trail.

The common perception is that alcohol makes you feel warmer, however it also dehydrates you & dehydration is a big problem while trekking.Also, you will be hosted by a family who may not be comfortable if you drink. You can smoke outside the homestay.

Wild animals do not frequent camps. There has never been a case of wild animals harming any trekkers on our treks.

The accommodation is in guest house/home stays and so there will be proper toilets.

Yes, you are ideally expected to carry your backpack. But you do have an option of offloading your bags on a mule for an additional cost. The cost will be 350/ per day per bag.
